Michael Goldsmith, President

Mike has more than 20 years of experience in architecture. He began his career in the building industry in l978 as a construction laborer which evolved into starting his own small and successful commercial construction company. After 15 years of completing other architect’s designs, he decided to follow in his father's footsteps and work toward his architectural degree. During this time, Mike worked for a Structural Engineering firm for 5 years creating plans, elevations, sections, structural details, and performing field inspections. He coordinated structural elements with architects on many different types of projects. Since joining a local architectural firm in 1995 as a designer, Mike gained valuable experience in many types of architectural projects. He has overseen complete new-build projects, major renovations to small additions, and property improvement plans.

Mike managed the design team for the first Hilton Garden Inn Brand Conversion in Phoenix AZ, redesigned and managed the Savannah, Houston, and Long Island Hyatt Regency renovations. He also was involved in creating new Hotel prototype designs for Hilton, HGI, and Marriott. Mike continues to have strong ongoing relationships with major national brands.

Past projects are not limited to just hotels. He has created architectural designs and provided construction administration services for manufacturing facilities, medical offices, condominiums, nursing homes, Class "A" office buildings, churches, retail, restaurants, YMCA facilities, theaters, public schools, and colleges.

Keith A. Peacock, AIA, NCARB

Principal Architect / Designer / Project Manager / BIM Specialist Education

Keith brings a thorough knowledge and understanding of all aspects of architectural design and construction administration for large-scale, multi-phased projects. As part of the GCD team, Keith provides Architectural Design, BIM Training, and BIM Manager Consulting. He controls our Standards and Templates. His project experience ranges from themed environments, community and visitor centers, hotels, high-rise, to market rate and student housing. He is highly mindful of schematic concepts, code requirements, and sustainable details, with technical expertise and proficiency in BIM CAD systems and rendering software. Outside of the office, Keith’s commitment to community involvement has led him to rich and rewarding volunteer experiences with The Salvation Army, the National Down Syndrome Society Buddy-Walk, and as an elected official for his local school board.

Pat is the voice of reason and experience. He was Vice President Design Management for Marriott International and Vice President of Global Design Marriott Vacations Worldwide. With his vast Hospitality experience over the years, he has been responsible for over 350 Marriott hotel projects, 45 Marriott Vacations Worldwide projects, and 6 Ritz-Carlton Clubs. His experience with New Construction, Capital Improvements, Operating Budgets, and Feasibility Studies are endless. Pat provides credibility to not just large-scale projects, but to everything, he gets involved with.

George Worthe Matze III, Staff Architect

George is a seasoned architectural designer with many years of architectural drafting and design experience. George’s experience includes hotels, hospitals, senior housing, restaurants, banks, retail office buildings, schools, and high-end residential.

He continues to keep up with emerging technologies and building methods. One of the strongest assets he brings to our firm is his ability to see and correct potential design issues during drawing production before they are discovered during our internal drawing reviews. Always a team player he will tell it like it is and will explain how to fix problems without ever losing sight of the design intent.

George is responsible for the production of CAD documents for all phases of the project from conception through working drawings. His work is essential in bringing our projects to successful completion.

 
 

Mark Hannahs, Senior Project Manager - On-Site

Mark is the perfect answer to problem-solving situations and keeping trades on schedule with tact and words of wisdom. As a Senior Project Manager Mark has managed small renovations to large hi-rise projects. He is truly an accomplished and versatile professional with a proven ability to direct construction projects in diverse sectors of the market including hospitality, multi-family residential, commercial, institutional, and government. Mark has experience completing projects in harsh weather conditions with short construction durations. Articulate and collaborative communicator, negotiator, and leader with talent for creating productive relationships with owners, architects and engineers, colleagues, and government officials and building effective, motivated and is a skilled negotiator with sub-trades.
